The objective of the project is the construction and equipping of four regional forest biomass logistics centres in the provinces of León and Palencia.

Establishment of a network of regional logistics centres covering the main forest areas of León and Palencia, on plots covering an area of approximately 15,000 m2 with access to the water and electricity network.

The construction of each CLC will be carried out with a building (toilets, office, machinery area and maintenance area), storage and chipping pitches for biomass, scale, fence and network of hydrants.

Acquisition of the necessary equipment (machinery: loaders, chippers, self-loaders, multitalers, trucks; and equipment) for the development of the activity and to provide services to rural and autonomous SMEs that begin their activity of using pine forests, pine forests and choperas, as well as oak and oak lowlands.
The objective of these CLCs is to make use of and be able to purchase forest biomass generated within a radius of approximately 30 to 40 km.

The forest biomass to be managed through these CLCs will be used in the production of new thermal MWs in newly established heat networks or in the expansion of existing ones.
All citizens will benefit from these actions.
These actions will be measured through the productivity indicator ESO22 Storage capacity in Tn of biomass, which is expected to reach 80,000 Tn/year by the end of the programming period.

For its part, the results will be measured through the indicator ESR31 Storage capacity in tonnes of biomass, reaching 80,000 Tn/year at the end of the programming period.
