We presented the Asturias project, in line with our mission: to close the digital divide in Spain, bringing high-speed optical fibre to rural and remote areas. We worked to be the leaders of the emptied Spain, both in rural broadband connectivity and in speed, we were the first to offer 1,000 Mb of speed. We want to facilitate access to the Internet in order to generate employment in local communities, contributing to the growth, development and quality of life of its inhabitants.

We have developed an innovative onboarding model from fibre deployment with local partners, communication through local media and multi-channel marketing, leaving neighbours to decide through which channel to communicate with Adamo.

The deployment in Asturias is one of the most complicated because of its large area to cover, the low density of housing and because it is the orographically most complicated region. The weather factor has affected us by slowing down deployment in mountainous areas that are covered with snow for several months. In our high-capacity trunk plan we have Asturias connected on the Lugo side and on the Cantabria side with 100 GB of capacity. We have created many kilometres of new infrastructure in the area.
We have defined a standardised landing model that takes into account the characteristics of each population. From the presentation of the project to the City Council, we started our marketing and marketing onboarding process. We organised a meeting with the neighbours to get to know them and to tell them about our proposal.

We have set up a monthly meeting (Brief New Towns) for all Adamo employees involved in the process. We offer them a 360-degree view of each village: type of population, economic activity, type of deployment, associations and main cultural attractions. From there we work to organise information sessions, events, to collaborate with local associations (in Asturias we collaborate with 12 local sports associations) and we try to boost local trade with collaboration agreements.

We always rely on social networks, local and regional media, as well as giving extensive coverage in our blog where the neighbours of each village are the protagonists, such as the video we publish with the neighbours of TINEO, whose 9,300 inhabitants already enjoy high-speed connectivity.
