CICLOSEND SOUTH

The CICLOSEND SUR project strengthens the territorial connection between the regions by promoting and creating various cycling routes. The territory is addressed as a whole without borders, promoting responsible and environmentally friendly tourism, while facilitating sustainable local mobility. The main actions include the creation of a network of cycle paths, the drafting of an Action Plan up to 2030, the development of a joint management model, and the implementation of a tourism promotion strategy together with specific tools to encourage entrepreneurial entrepreneurship. CICLOSEND SUR has identified a network of non-motorised routes as cross-border ecotourism resources and proposes a plan for their expansion and improvement. This contributes to the conservation, valorisation and socio-economic dynamisation of the territory, involving the business fabric in this sustainable tourism proposal. The project targets include public administrations and local SMEs, which are key to this joint promotion initiative as a sustainable tourism destination. It also targets tour operators and tourists from Portugal, Spain and other EU states, who will be able to explore new destinations for cycling and hiking tourism.
